For numerous reasons, and after much
consideration, I have finally decided to start this new section.
- Not everything I have to say fits in with my image of what an
"article" should be
- I have things to talk about which are of a more personal
nature than the articles
- Some things are too short to rightly be called articles
- Some ideas I feel compelled to get out, even though they have
not yet found their more formal voice
So, the contents of this section will be
looser, less formal, frequently much shorter, and hopefully
updated more frequently. In addition, this section provides me with a
place for comments and news about the site itself. Since web space is
getting to be at such a premium there will be no RealAudio readings
accompanying these pieces.
"A Personal Word" is not meant to
imply that what is said in this section is directed personally and
solely at you. The "personal" refers to me, that this
grows more out of my personal life, experiences, and opinions.
All that said, however, the mission of this
section is unchanged from that of the overall web site: to freshly
present the good news from and about Jesus of Nazareth, and get out
of its way.
